What are SCEMIDs

 

SCEMID ist derived from Supply Chain Event Management (SCEM) and ID for identifier.

They are used to share information about object along the whole supply chain.

They identify two types of objects

• tours - which are trips that can have multiple stops
• stops - which is a stop, that may be part of a tour

They are generated when creating a tour, are unique and have a restricted lifetime, what makes the optimal for sharing.

Typically API-usages of a SCEMID without further rights are

• sending positions to it, that are the base of ETA calculation (event)
• get eta (stops/batch)
• subscribing to to to be informed about new eta (subscribe)

Also without using the API, you can use it interactively e.g.

• EM-Viewer for showing ETA of a stop: http://driveandarrive-demo.ptvlogistics.com/viewer/?lang=en&scemID=<SCEMID>

You can freely distribute the SCEMIDs you created to everybody who may be interested in notification about the ETA.
